Viewer Used at Aircraft Gauge Level! PDF Print E-mail

Things have been a bit quiet in the SL website system. Everyone's been busy behind the scenes though. Below is a tidbit of progress...

The viewer tool example below used at some of the smallest level of details. Paul and Simon (of Target4Today) are working to enhance the controls for viewing these small objects.

Zooming in and out plus rotation of objects will get refined. This example is from the latest compile for Windows XP. You can see how the "center" of an object is not "center" per-say for viewing. Something that Paul and Simon are discussing...

The second image/example is what an object can look like with the current tool-control set. It is the same gauge as above, just reversed and repositioned.

The almost daily discussions continue.  Simulab is still going.  Follow the chat here:  Skype-Meetings

This is an opening chat:

[5:55:09 AM] Simon Morley: good morning Paul
[5:55:26 AM] Paul Guhl: HI Simon
[6:15:13 AM] Simon Morley: Paul, I'm on the ground contact part of the JSBsim input file
[6:15:34 AM] Simon Morley: how much of it do we need if you're using scratch points ?
[6:15:49 AM] Simon Morley: where again are these scratch points defined
[6:16:32 AM] Paul Guhl: please specify them in the jsbsim file
[6:16:57 AM] Paul Guhl: usually it's intuitive approach to have them associated with 3d model file
[6:17:42 AM] Paul Guhl: this part is not fully clear, currently SL reads scratch points from 3d model and perhaps will alter the scracthpoints storen in jsbsim file later
[6:17:57 AM] Paul Guhl: those are needed by jsbsim to detect touchdown and crash conditions
[6:19:50 AM] Simon Morley: ok
[6:57:45 AM] Simon Morley: looking foreward to Kevin turning up

There is a lot happening.  Flight models and continued work on the terrain editor happen daily.
